The Song of My Soul

Hello. I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a book girl, a writer of stories, autumn lover, and quiet grey Sundays are good for my soul. When the prairie is faded in yellow hues, the sky an unashamed overcast blue, that is when I am most inspired.

This blog is where I explore beauty in the world through nature, theology, and art. I want to know what it all means. I want to know amidst tragedy and hopelessness and monotony there is beauty and there is a God with a purpose. This blog is a place where I delve into the world and grasp how to write stories with meaning and purpose and a deepness that touches the soul.

Our lives are stories built of small moments. Ordinary experiences. It is too easy to forget that our days are adding up to something astonishing. We do not often stop to notice the signs and wonders. The writing on the wall.
— Christie Purifoy

There is an eternity and we are living on the brink of it, and if we look carefully we can see eternity shaping the edges of our lives, cresting the outskirts of city streets, warming golden grasses of prairie, living in the eyes of all who wonder and dream and delight in a God of abundance and grace.

I am a storyteller, an avid writer of books, I believe in impossible things, and dream best when I’m tucked away in a quiet corner by a window.

I also encourage quiet writers like myself at The Quiet Writers' Desk.

I am always writing new stories, stories I haven't finished, stories I've just begun. Because really, I have never learned how to write just one story at a time. I am a story girl. You can learn more about my books by clicking here.

I'm really just a homespun, tea-loving, messy writer of a girl, whose love of yarn and knitting is second only to writing. Oh, and my pirate name is Mad Mary Flint.
